In 1946, our father, Al Newman, took the first step toward transforming his First Avenue candy store into a home delivery service when he agreed to deliver newspapers to composer Irving Berlin's Beekman Place brownstone. Sixty years later, we know Al would be proud of what his children and grandchildren have been able to build. Mom, Ruthy, 87 years young, certainly tells us how proud she is from the corporate headquarters in Boynton Beach , Florida .

As Mitchell'sNY approaches its 60th anniversary at the end of 2006, the Newman/Rizzi/ Gordon family would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support and loyalty over the years. Unquestionably, we owe all of our success to you!
